The apartments exist to provide safe and secure accommodation for these young people who are often living away from home for the first time although they are not restricted to first year students. The scope of our service is to provide a positive Christian environment and to cater to the spiritual needs of up to 32 residents who live in the apartments.

We endeavour to help with the Christian growth of those who have made a commitment to God and to show love and encouragement to all the residents regardless of whether they have made this commitment or not. The Church takes an interest in the residents and encourages opportunities for friendships with Church families. Residents are encouraged to become involved in the life and ministries of the Tabernacle.

The Auckland Baptist Tabernacle Hostel is a joint venture Charitable Company between the Auckland Baptist Tabernacle Trust and Church. A Board of Directors appointed by the Trust and Church runs the Company. These Directors are members of the Auckland Baptist Tabernacle Church. The managers live on site and oversee the day to day running of the apartments.
